Soft skills relevant to being a successful call center agent.

P.T.I.S. Virtual Solutions appreciates our clients and we are positioned to hire call reps for our list of clients, some of whom are Home Depot, Disney Cruise, and Roadside Assistance. While we are here to teach “hard skills” such as the ability to de-escalate outraged and disgruntled customers via negotiating tactics coupled with active listening, virtual call reps with the most success typically have a set of soft skills, or innate personality traits making them the best of the best in call reps. The types of soft skills we seek in an individual are:

USB NOISE CANCELING HEADSET

A noise canceling headset is necessary to perform your job. A rotating microphone minimizes background noise for clear calls and a professional atmosphere for our clients. A quiet work environment with no distractions is mandatory for work.

REQUIREMENTS

A smartphone is required to work because we use it to access our virtual private networks (VPN). They cannot work without it. The smartphone serves as a gatekeeper to get into client systems and generates a unique, personal code to get into the client's systems. WiFi is not allowed. Internet service must be hardwired from the modem to the computer via Ethernet cord.

Check your PC to endure you have the proper processor to work for P.T.I.S. Virtual Solutions.

CLASSES START WEEKLY

Certification

We have classes starting up new weekly. Each class is usually for 4-6 hours. There is no class on weekends! Whatever time you pick for class is the same time that you are expected to take your calls while in certification. You are not allowed to change your time for class once you have begun the class. You will have self-paced homework that must be completed prior to the next day of class. Homework is similar to watching a PowerPoint and YouTube videos. At the end of each lesson, there is a short quiz to check your knowledge. You can go back into the lesson to help with the quiz, so basically it is open book test. Classes are typically conducted during the below times, but can be different:

9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. / EASTERN TIME

1:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. / EASTERN TIME

6:00 p.m.– 10:00 p.m. / EASTERN TIME

Pay Roll

With this work at home opportunity, you are not an employee and would not be receiving any employee benefits. You are a contract worker and would receive a 1099 at the end of the year for tax purposes.

Class is conducted virtually via computer and the internet with an instructor who teaches you about the client and their systems to help customers. After you complete training, you will go through a certification process where your calls will be scored to show that you are ready to start taking customer calls. ​

Once you start working, you will receive an invoice for the time worked. Your invoice will be paid to you twice a month via direct deposit. (Your information will need to be supplied to set this up.) You will also be provided with an invoice calendar so you are always aware of the date you will receive payment for your invoice.

3RD PARTY

REQUIREMENTS

A background check is completed by the client via a 3rd party vendor. In rare cases, some clients of P.T.I.S. Virtual Solutions will request drug testing. This is done at the client's expense and has nothing to do with P.T.I.S. Virtual Solutions.
